Had a good day today. Went to a soft play centre with Coping with CHAOS and the children were so tired afterwards they both went to bed at 7:00, a big step up from the 9:00 it has been recently with the hot weather. This was great as we are trying to get ready for our daughter's Christening this weekend. The family are all descending on us so we are busy clearing toys away to try and find some bed space beneath them. Also enjoyed watching the fantastic volunteers faces gradually turning the same shade as their red T-Shirts as they tried to keep up with all the children!

A few weeks ago we contacted Social Services to ask for Home Care - through this scheme we can get extra help with domestic chores. A bit stunned this morning as they turned up on the doorstep without us knowing they were coming! I had planned to clean the house before the cleaner arrived but they caught me short! They are obviously hyper-efficient so hopefully they'll pass on some tips to education.
